Fish Tacos: Grizzly Tuna in Seaside (drive through only), but some of the best fish tacos and fish and chips around. We go there every time we are here. A definite lunch! If the weather is nice we take it to some picnic tables in the park on Pacific Way in Gearhart - just head to the beach and park.

Grandma’s Corner Restaurant (8am - 2 pm). 4030 US - 101 Gearhart. Ed has been here and says it is a great breakfast. He loves breakfast!

The Pacific Way (601-609 Pacific Way) Gearhart Open on Thursdays - am and pm hours. Great (upscale) food - we ate there on Friday evening. Excellent meal, creative, food beautifully presented. One the spendy side… I would make reservations well in advance if you want to go there. (I think some of Ed’s family are going on Friday night.) The chef was a sous chef at Kahn Restaurant in Portland (James Beard award winner).

Mo’s Seafood & Chowder (Cannon Beach) 195 W Warren Way, Tolovana Park

(Mo’s is a local chain with a “specialty” in chowder. It is a local “institution.” Not sure that it is the best clam chowder, but lots of people go there to say they went.

Driving to Gearhart is Camp 18 on US 26

Camp 18 is an old logging area - the restaurant’s building is a huge log cabin with antler chandeliers and big fireplace. Big portions - like for loggers.

Popular place. Fun to look around - lots of old logging equipment.

Astoria Bakery: Gathered Bakeshop & Market (512 12th St Astoria)

We are getting the cupcakes for the wedding from this bakery. Excellent bakery. Limited hours and days (Friday - Sunday 9 am - 4 pm)

Astoria: Bridgewater Bistro (20 Basin St suite A, Astoria). Located in a restored 1896 building on a pier overlooking the Columbia River. We have eaten there many times. More upscale/ good food, setting, and usually has a piano player. Reservations suggested.

Gearhart McMenamins has a full serve restaurant with “pub” food with a nice balcony and view of the golf course. They also brew their own beer. It has a downstairs bar area and a a bar area “hidden” on the golf course.

Mark and I have been together a long time and have a wonderful home together. The best gift we can get is having you all at the wedding and would much prefer that over anything else.
